Attended the “Scales and Tails” photo session at Tuckahoe State Park yesterday, put on by the Maryland DNR. David Todd was the only other TCC member attending.
There was a good selection of subjects, tethered to perches in a forest clearing, including a bald eagle, 3 species of hawks, and 4 owl species. Pretty well-behaved, too. You could get “up close and personal” (within limits – the birds would let you know), which allowed for portraits that still kept the subject in a natural setting. A nice photo opportunity, well worth the $15 photographer charge. – Bill
