Cal Jackson alerted me to an art competition coming up at BWI Marshall Airport.  The airport is creating a new connector between Terminals D and E, and wants to use the new wall space to showcase the area’s art community through a series of large (8′ by 8′ and 8′ by 12′) printed fabric panels.  They are looking for submissions from area artists (including photographers) for a juried competition that will select 28 works to go to the airport’s arts program for final selection.

If you are interested — and many of you should be — the complete description and entry forms can be downloaded in PDF format at

The call for entries was issued July 6, but the deadline for submissions is July 29; so you need to be quick about it if you want to participate.  This could be a wonderful opportunity for TCC members and for TCC itself.  Thanks to Cal for the heads-up!
