Dave Pulzone, editor of the Tidewater Times, called me this afternoon requesting information about one of our competition photos that he was considering for publication in the September issue. I’m sending him the photographer’s name and contact info so he can discuss the matter with him directly. Dave also said that he’s looking for images with an agricultural theme, presumably emphasizing the Eastern Shore, and that he would be happy to include work by TCC members. If you have something along these lines that you would like to offer for consideration, you’ll have to move quickly. As always with these publications, the deadline is short. He would like to have submissions by the beginning of next week (8/8), preferably sooner.
If you have something ready to go, please send it to the Tidewater Times directly at firstname.lastname@example.org. This will minimize delays. In general, images should be approximately 2000 pixels on the long edge, about 6.5″ at 300 dpi. In the accompanying email, give the image title, your name (for crediting) and permission to publish your work. Please say that you are a member of the Tidewater Camera Club. It helps the club’s visibility, and can boost our status as a source of high quality images on local subjects by local artists. I’ll let Dave know what’s coming….
