October 13- Norm Bell’s Composition Workshop is scheduled from 10am-3pm in the Wye Oak Room at Talbot County Community Center.  If you haven’t registered yet, please do so at workshops@tidewatercameraclub.org.  You must be a member to attend.  There is a $10 fee to cover the cost of the room rental.

October 15- If you exhibited at Candleberry Gallery in St. Michaels, please pick up your prints between 10am-12pm.  Contact Chris if you have any questions.

October 15- If you plan on exhibiting a print at the Talbot County Library Branch in St. Michaels, this is the last day to register.  Check the “Exhibits” page of the website for more information.

October 15- The “Less is More” Competition Meeting is scheduled from 7pm-9pm in the Wye Oak Room. During the first part of the meeting, we will be reviewing the scores and feedback from Graham Scott-Taylor.  As you know, Graham puts in a fair amount of time and effort to provide constructive criticism.  Take advantage of this learning opportunity by attending the meeting and being a part of the discussion.   After a short break, we will be having our organizational meeting for the three Special Interest Groups- “Landscapes” with coordinator Norm Bell, “Wildlife/Nature” with coordinator Joe Soares, and “Post-Processing” with co-coordinators Mutt Meritt and Jack Upchurch.

November 7- Wednesday, November 7 at 11:45pm is the deadline for submitting up to two images for this month’s digital competition.  The theme is “Night Vision”; Nikhil Bahl will be our judge.  Check the “Calendar” for details.

November 9- Our next speaker meeting is Friday, November 9, from 7pm-9pm at Brookletts Place, Talbot County Senior Center.  Ken Conger will be presenting “Four Continents of Critters”.  You can see his work at the Academy Art Museum during the Waterfowl Festival.  Sorry for the change in date and venue…this was the only time and place available to host Ken. November 17- Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge outing.  Details forthcoming.

November 19- The “Night Vision” Competition Meeting is scheduled from 7pm-9pm in the Wye Oak Room. During the first half of the meeting, we will be reviewing the scores and commentary from Nikhil Bahl.  The second half of the meeting will be dedicated to SIG discussions.
