The group organizes outings, and meetings to discuss prints and digital images. From “how to take” to “how to process” and beyond –
we aim to help and nurture.

The WILDLIFE SIG is another area of great member interest.

The Wildlife Special Interest Group primarily focuses on photography of wild animals with emphasis on the Delmarva peninsula. The groups meets (prior to the pandemic) regularly on the second Monday of the month to critique recent photographs taken by members. The photos are presented  in print form enabling close inspection. A field outing (usually a day trip) to local wildlife refuges is scheduled on the 4th Wednesday of each month.

These activities are structured towards producing enthusiastic but friendly discussion of our photography. We emphasize making photographs with little restraint as to subject, style or technique. our group is made up of photographers with novice to expert capabilities. We try to maintain a friendly, informative and artistic approach to wildlife photography.

The TRAVEL SIG was born when some members expressed interest.

Once we reach the new normal and can meet again, we will discuss what we want to do as a SIG, for example

  • Share and comment on each others’ individual travel images and/or trip portfolios
  • Share recommendations on trips, locations, tours, resources
  • Arrange SIG travel shoots – local or long distance

Our POST-PROCESSING SIG is a new group interest.

From beginners to advanced photographers who want to learn good habits in their post processing workflow. Each year, we start at the beginning and work through how Lightroom, Photoshop and various plugins can help you finish that image you created in camera or on your cellphone.

workshops outings and speakers

WORKSHOPS  give members hands on experience with expert level support to help master equipment and technique.

CLUB OUTINGS provide opportunity for members to practice using equipment and share tips and tricks hands on. Sometimes a speaker will offer discount pricing to club members and other times, a members only free trip is planned.

Speaker meetings give members access to accomplished photographers who are willing to share their images, their experience and some inspiration.
