our Special Interest Groups (SIGs)
The LANDSCAPE & WILDLIFE SIG is another area of great member interest.

The joint Wildlife and Landscape SIGs meets on the 4th Monday of the month at 7:00 p.m. via Zoom until further notice. Club members who are passionate about wildlife and landscape photography are invited to attend the meeting and may submit up to two wildlife and two landscape digital images for constructive criticism and encouragement. In addition, the group also discusses images of other genres which can be submitted along with either a wildlife or a landscape image.
The group is very collegial and welcomes new members of all experience levels. The group members may chose to make excursions during the year to locales within driving distance that are well known for their wildlife and/or landscape photo opportunities.
From “how to take” to “how to process” and beyond – we aim to help and nurture.
Individuals who are interested in possibly joining can contact Norm Bell (normanbell45@gmail.com) or Reinhardt Sahmel (reinsahm@goeaston.net).
The TRAVEL SIG was born when some members expressed interest.

Once we reach the new normal and can meet again, we will discuss what we want to do as a SIG, for exampleÂ
- Share and comment on each others’ individual travel images and/or trip portfolios
- Share recommendations on trips, locations, tours, resources
- Arrange SIG travel shoots – local or long distance
Our POST-PROCESSING SIG is a new group interest.

With a variety of photographic skills represented in the club, we are striving to target different skill levels with programs appropriate to the kind of education needed. This SIG will focus on various post processing techniques utilizing Photoshop, Lightroom Classic, Topaz, NIK products and others. Meetings are open to club members and are scheduled on the 4th Monday each month from 6-7pm via Zoom. Zoom links can be found on the Members Only section of the Website.

WORKSHOPs, OUTINGS AND SPEAKERS
WORKSHOPS – This year we have expanded our definition of a workshop to include 3rd Monday Virtual Training which covers a wide range of topics to help us all get our photography spirits soaring.
CLUB OUTINGS provide opportunity for members to practice using equipment and share tips and tricks hands on. Sometimes a speaker will offer discount pricing to club members and other times, a members only free trip is planned.
Speaker meetings give members access to accomplished photographers who are willing to share their images, their experience and some inspiration.
